Nervous Breakthrough

Sorry for the long hiatus, fans and well-wishers. I had what I can only assume was a nervous breakdown and was ordered by my doctor to try to avoid anything that causes me any undue and avoidable stress. And as sporadically updating this blog has been known to take it's toll on me, I decided to take a well-earned break from authoring this blog. The very rigourous daily tending of my nintendo virtual farm was also set aside while I recovered.

I wasn't able to eliminate my main sources of stress, namely my wife and son, so I have been making the best of the situation.
FOr example, to keep my stress levels down, my son Owen now watches his screeching childrens' programs with headphones. He doesn't mind at all, in fact, I think it enhances his concentration.

Judge Not!

As I've mentioned in my previous posts, I spent some time as a Judge. It was very taxing in a lot of ways. Emotionally it was taxing because I had to preside over so many horrific and disturbing cases, and physically it was taxing because I'm a man who takes pride in my appearance, and that scratchy horse-hair wig was not my best look.

Australia Day

It's Australia Day and time for us to reflect on how great our country is.

It's a chance to shake off all our responsibilites and hit the beach, or have a barbeque with family and friends, making sure to reflect on how lucky we are to live in Australia... Personally, I've always felt more of an affinity with the Irish, but that's just me.

I do feel lucky that on Australia Day a guy like me (with a small to mid-sized criminal history) is allowed (practically obligated) to wander the streets in broad daylight, wearing nothing but a pair of short-shorts and an Australian flag cape, drinking beer and good naturedly harassing the ladies.

In order to accomplish this I have to find someone to watch my son, as it wouldn't do to expose him to all this madness at such an impressionable age. He's got a tough enough road ahead when he discovers my not-so-secret scandalous past. I'm dreading the day he's old enough to confront me about my brief time as an escort.

It was a very confusing time for me.

Brian Time

As a stay at home father, I don't get a lot of time to myself to relax and really concentrate on Brian. Who is he? What are his needs and wants?

My son Owen is a major handful, and it's rare that I even get a chance to visit the wc without being interrupted these days. (He's a handful, but at this stage still unable to operate a camera. This picture was taken by my loving wife).

I would love to wake up at a leisurely hour and laze around in my silky dressing gown whilst watching the People's Court, but responsibilities beckon. Keeping Owen full of food and amusement is a full time job. He catches about three winks of sleep in the mid morning, and I have time to crochet, blog and ponder my life choices. Looking back, there are a few things I would change, such as sacrificing my lucrative and fulfilling career as a judge for the fleeting thrill of peeping on my attractive neighbour.

But live and learn.

Welcome to my blog!

I woke up this morning and said to myself, It's time to give something back! I thought about volunteering for a worthy cause, but as a stay at home father, I don't have time for any of that. So blogging it is- I have so many insights to share!

My skills are many and varied, which is why over the years I've found myself pursuing careers in law, aviation, the music industry, I studied religion for a time....
And as a result of losing those careers due to various indiscretions I have also become au fait with the fast food and sex industries.

(This photo was taken when I was giving my wheels of steel a workout. It's just a shame the photograph doesn't show the scale of the crowd that had gathered- I had so many fans! Some of them were ladies).

But back to the topic at hand. I'll be using this blog as a platform to discuss poignant issues and inspire change, but also to air my many grievances. Feel free to make comments, but I warn you, I take a hard line on morons and Tom Cruise.
